Given answer on various sites is
1-bromo.. without considering rearrangement.
Answer not given in NCERT Book.
So is it okay to go with this ?
Ans will be 2 bromo butane only

In Mains and Boards don't consider rearrangement. It is not in syllabus. Mera mains main ek question galat hua that because I considered rearrangement.

There is a reason why rearrangement doesn't happen here. SN2 dominates over SN1. Experimental facts. This was in my notes-

Why didn't you do rearrangement in last step? Carbocation under Cl is more stable.
Because we have already two degree carbocation without rearrangement
