What are the order of effects to be considered while comparing acid-base strength?

I have been trying to solve acid-base strength comparison questions. But I am confused about the order in which I have to compare their strengths.

Like compare first on which the negative charge is located, then resonance effect etc.

Can anyone give the correct order?

Also how important is having mastery of acid-base strength comparison for other topics of organic chemistry? It seems that organic chemistry is built upon previous concepts and so I am worried about whether not having mastery of acid-base strength comparison can affect the other chapters.

  1. The key to understanding this trend is to consider the hypothetical conjugate base in each case: the more stable (weaker) the conjugate base, the stronger the acid. Also Look at where the negative charge ends up in each conjugate base. The more electronegative an atom, the better it is able to bear a negative charge.
  2. resonance effect.
  3. inductive effect.
Use these methods as per your convenience.
