First do calculations and then put needle at that point...
As there are so many errors you will not able to get correct values in that much time if you have not practised it properly...

@arush_kumar_singh Bro actually I performed this experiment two times in lab , but there mam said that in boards there will be given different lenses , so I an just guessing for some focal length of convex mirror (a range basic ally) so as it can save some time

In my lab the focal length of convex mirror is about 16 and convex lens is 20
I cannot remember all experiment but in some we used to find rough focal length and in some we try to put them at center of curvature and then go near those value by calculating according to that data
So go with ideal points which you think will give data more close to correct value..
But it's difficult to find the same for other two @arush_kumar_singh bro as such its doesn't form image on screen . thx @Sweety_Shah , between here the focal length for convex mirror is about 20-22 cm. OK @arush_kumar_singh bro thx for helping .

LOL. I almost feel that the practical exam was to test our manipulation skills. Like seriously. I got that refractive index with travelling microscope. I simply loosened the screw, saw for clear image and took a very rough reading. Rest of the observation table was pure manipulation. Vernier scale jaye bhaad mein .

Oh yes. We didn't perform any experiment in physics or chemistry. We got all readings before external arrived and then external asked Viva. This is what Pace does. But on the knowledge part, we know all practicals because it was mandatory to attend classes
