I guess no.
But rules are changing now and then. So let me check if affidavit is mandatory.

Can you tell me about the merit cum means scholarship?

@Nikhil_Pandey
MCM is a scholarship provided to students based on family income and cgpa. In 1st yr, JEE rank is considered.
Family income should be less than 4.5 lpa and cgpa greater than 6.0
Tution fee of one year is reimbursed and a scholarship of 1000 per month is given. Every year (NOT semester) you'll need to apply for MCM.
You'll need an income certificate along with an affidavit. Once you take admission you'll get all the information regarding this on the online notice board. The format for income certificate and affidavit is provided on the notice board.

So no need of making income affidavit when family income above 4.5 lakh?

#6

If its less than 5lpa, you'll be eligible for 2/3rd tutiion fee waiver.
If more than 5lpa, then no need of affidavit.

Is it required to fill the income affidavit for admission in IIT Roorkee if we don't want the merit cum means scholarship?
