I believe everyone is different and has to find their own way and never try to follow toppers and those who got successes and all.
I would personally recommend not to solve new questions that might lower your confidence as nothing is worse than that just a few days before your exams. However just revising formulas and solving some important questions that you have actually done in the past could boost your confidence which is necessary.
I would recommend giving a mock test two days before an exam, just to give you the exposure 2 days before the exam. Dont focus on the marks obtained in it. I remember I gave a mock test a day before my Mains and got only 105 in that. Got around 180 in actual exam. So just dont lose that positive confidence in the last few days no matter not.
These suggestions are for a major exam like the actual Jee Main and Advanced, not the regular mocks as the pressure is highest to revise during this time.
Ultimately you have to figure it on your own, the best strategies, the sequence with which you will attempt and all.
