Doubt in grignard reagent

Question 9

Ether does allow grinard regent to protonate .

I think A will also be a right option.

L.p of O is in conjugation with Ph so partial positive charge appear on O atom which greatly reduces delta (+) on Me .Therefore grinand can't attack Me

I think it can still attack the sp hybridised carbon.
This attack will not interfere with resonance and also sp has 50% s character so can greatly stabilise a negative charge.

Its not about interfering resonance its about driving force, delta (+) on C atom is very weak and grignard is not very strong nucleophile

Here it is acid base reaction for Alkane formation no nucleophile attack reactions will occur and also Grignard is a very strong nuvleophile. Read the highlighted part.
