Is there any logic behind why B<S
Yeah when we remove electron from B it form 2S2 and it is full fill orbit
And in S after removing electron it form half fill orbital.
@Shaquib But at the same time electron is being removed from 2nd orbit in B but from 3rd in S
So I don’t think there is a very clear indication as to which will be larger .. it must be data dependent
I know you are thinking about that 3p is outer orbital and it will be easy to remove electron.
It may be fact based.
But I think full full orbital is more stable than half full orbital.
Even i think so .. and that’s why there are no confusing options in here .
