Question is to find the local maxima and minima of
y = x.√(1-x)
When I did by dy/dx =0..i got only min value.
When i squared the function..the applied the same ..got the max value only.
Not getting both by single way.
(For CBSE exam.)
I think it's a monotonic function
No bro it is not.
There exist maxima and minima.
I am not able to get any proper method to find.
Try to solve once.
Nvm I though it was x/√1-x
@Prakhar_Gupta getting Maxima at x=2/3
Ya you are right..I got it.
Thanks for confirming.
I think you have not checked the domain which is x <1. So only maxima exist at x=2/3
Yah..got it now.
