Can someone please explain how the ester ring is reduced by Grignard reagent.(partial reduction or complete?)
Two with acid chloride
Two with that succnic anhydride
One with alkyne
One with carbonyl
Doesn't Grignard reagent break the anhydride ring? And then further reduce it to alcohol?
acid derivatives require 2 equivalent grignard to get converted into 3 degree alcohol
What's up homie
@utkarsh_gupta2 yes correct
See if there's excess gr then it will again react with ketone @Kunal_Kharat not sure about that
Ayan changed his avatar to Big Smoke. What's going on here?
But it's asked how many moles of Grignard, so shouldn't complete reduction be considered. @pratyaksh_tyagi Still confused with the anhydride part.
