But the answer is given D

In the answer it is written that --the -ve charge on cmi makes the carbon atom more poralised to +ve charge so the C-O bond is weakest in D
I am not able to understand the meaning of this

Now I researched on this .
If metal has more electron density the backbonding from metal pi orbital to Co pi * will be stronger (so metal Carbonyl bond is stronger making CO bond weaker )
Addition of electrons to pi* makes the bond weaker (we have studied this in MOT from chemical bonding)

What @Raunak_2020 said is right but as V contains negative charge it is said to have more tendency for giving electron for back-bonding

d option is correct becouse of relatively high electron density on metal couses more back bonding(synergic effect). in this effect metal donate electron in to anti bonding (pi*) of CO resulting decrease bond order of CO
