For the other three reagents,
Fructose will isomerise and will be able to shift its Carbonyl group,i.e. fructose can change into glucose!
Can u explain in detail ?
I mean when other three reagents can convert above compound to given compound ,so why answer is given D as Schiff reagents doesn't react with ketone so above oxidation is not possible with D
Reagents which furnish OH-,
Will tautomerise the carbonyl group.
Fructose will hence become glucose and manose (that was the name I guess)

Is the basic structure difference between glucose and fructose be that former has aldehyde (aldohexose) group and later has ketone group attached(ketohexose)? Can anyone confirm , it was asked in my Chem boards?
