Conceptual question on buoyant force

Plz explain why is buoyant force at an angle
Also drag force is at angle, should it not be along the surface ?

The wave has that unique wavefront due to the acceleration of the water caused by forces. Now, buoyant force is the net force experienced by an object submerged in water due to the act of displacing water. It is the sum of the forces exerted by water on the object. The direction would be opposite to the net accelerating forces that are affecting the water: Here they are gravity and the accelerating forces causing the wavefront. Due to this, the buoyant force is always normal to the surface of the water.
