See, H^- ion is called hydride We know that single H contains 1 electron and one proton But H^- ion contains two electron and one proton. Because of -ve sign on H, the electron is gained. Thus the configuration is 1s^2 due to presence of 2 electrons.
Sir I understood this now .Sir now what about configuration of h^- ion about 1 exited state .Is first excited state is n,=2 for hydride ion ?
First excited state will be 1s^1 2s^1

Excitation always takes place when energy is absorbed. Therefore when some bonds are formed, excitation of electrons takes place to make binding pair with electrons of other atoms.

What will happen when electron jumps from px orbital to py orbital.Is there electromagnetic radiation released or not.
See, have you learnt Molecular Orbital Theory? This states that px,py and pz have different energy levels. Thus if electron jumps from state of lower energy to higher energy, then obviously electromagnetic radiation will release.
